Registered Nurse - Occupational Health New

Occupational Health Registered Nurse needed for a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity with Yoh’s well-established client located in San Diego, CA 92101.

This clinic offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees. Will assist with work and non-work related illnesses and injuries plus case management tasks. Heavy on the desk work side but must also be comfortable responding to emergencies on the campus if needed.
 

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of California
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Nurse
• Preferred experience: Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Family Practice, Primary Care, School Nursing, Corrections, and/or Internal Medicine type setting
• Workers' compensation experience a huge plus!
• Strong computer proficiency (ie Microsoft Office Suite and EMR)
  

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
• Onsite emergency response
• Conduct drug screens, breath alcohol tests, and vision testing
• Participate in audiometry (hearing conservation) program
• Provide wellness education for employee health concerns
• Provide CPR and First Aid training to employees
• Work on multiple projects/programs such as: medical surveillance, wellness event planning, reports, collecting data, etc.
• Provide medical testing such as: EKGs, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc. and perform limited interpretation of tests
• Utilize multiple computer programs for charting and tracking purposes (includes EMR and MS Office products)
  

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Ability to work Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm
• Passionate about promoting health and wellbeing at the workplace
• Must be comfortable working autonomously, be a self-starter, and have solid leadership skills while also valuing teamwork
• BLS certified
